Pour and Scoop Sensory Bin
A big tub of rice or chunky pasta set on a bedsheet, with bowls, a funnel, and spoons: little hands dig in, scoop, dump, let it rain through their fingers, and hunt for hidden treasures. Spills are 100% part of the plan.

Step by step
- Fill a large plastic bin with dry rice or chunky pasta and place it on a spread-out bedsheet: spills are expected, not a problem.
- Add bowls, a funnel, spoons, and small cups.
- Scoop, bury hands, make it rain, no instructions needed. Stay close—raw rice is tempting to taste, so just keep an eye out.
- Bury small toys to discover, and encourage filling and dumping the containers.
- 'full', 'empty', 'more', 'all gone'. Kids learn math concepts through their hands first.
- Lift the sheet and funnel everything right back into the bin (pure magic!), pop the lid on, and save it for next time.
