Giant Animal Dice

A big homemade die with an animal picture on each side. Take turns rolling it, then cross the room moving like the animal: hop like a frog, slither like a snake, stand tall like a flamingo. Join in and really ham it up!

Step by step

  1. Print the die template, fold and glue it together, and stick an animal picture on each face.
  2. Take turns rolling the die into the center of the room.
  3. Call out the animal you roll (“Frog!”).
  4. Move across the room like that animal, your own way—play along and be silly!
  5. Add different speeds (slow snail, fast cheetah) or link two animals together.
  6. Let your child invent and draw new animals for the next die.
