Step by step

  1. Print and tape the giant coloring sheets together (several A4 sheets taped on the back).
  2. Tape it to the floor or low on the wall, with chunky wax crayons ready to go.
  3. Let everyone pick a picture or an area, with no set plan.
  4. Color along with them, right by their side, without worrying about staying inside the lines.
  5. Point out where your colors meet ("Look, your blue is touching my yellow!") to celebrate making something together.
  6. Hang the mural at child height and come back to it over the next few days if it's not finished.
