Step by step
- Print out paper strips with a thick line and make a small starter snip on each one.
- Sit at a clear table with a "confetti envelope" ready right next to you.
- One hand holds the paper, the other pulls gently FOLLOWING the line.
- Let your child tear strip after strip; if they start ripping wildly, show them the gentle motion again calmly instead of correcting with words.
- Slide the torn pieces into the envelope for future play (paper balls, party confetti).
- Try wavy lines, then broad shapes to tear out, then thicker paper.
