Step by step

  1. Print 2 or 3 busy scene pictures (farm, house, market).
  2. First, let your child explore and chat about the picture freely, with no instructions.
  3. Ask "where's the tractor?", let them scan the page and point it out.
  4. Confirm and add more detail ("yes! the farmer's red tractor!"), then keep the search going.
  5. Your child calls out items and you search slowly, making mistakes on purpose so they can correct you.
  6. Switch scenes and try two-clue searches ("the sleeping cat").
