Letter Bingo

A bingo game using letters, starting with the ones from their own name: six-letter boards, cards to draw, and for each letter, its name and the sound it makes (“this is A, it says ahhh”). Finding the L in Leo is a major win.

Step by step

  1. Print the boards and letter cards, starting with the letters in your child's name.
  2. Say each letter's name AND the sound it makes (“this is A, it says ahhh”).
  3. Let them draw a card and try to name it, stepping in with gentle help if needed.
  4. Find the matching letter on the board and place the card right on top.
  5. Celebrate “their” special letters (“L for Leo!”): emotional connection makes learning click.
  6. Match uppercase with lowercase, then match letters to pictures that start with that sound.
