Step by step
- Print out the fill-in booklet (me, my family, my home, my comfort toy, things I love...).
- Fill it in together, page by page, over several days if needed: glue in photos or draw whatever your child tells you to.
- Let them choose the photos, drawings, and colors: this is THEIR book.
- Write down their exact words for the captions without correcting them.
- At bedtime, or during tricky separation moments (starting daycare, staying with a sitter).
- Add a new page every now and then, and let your child show it off to visitors if they want to.
