Step by step

  1. Fold and snip the A4 sheet following the guide: watch a real 8-page book appear.
  2. Brainstorm the plot with two simple questions: "Who is it about? What happens?"
  3. Draw one scene per page, in order; save the cover for the very end.
  4. Write down what your child dictates under each picture (or let them scribble-write their own way), without fixing their grammar.
  5. Add a title and the AUTHOR's name on the front cover.
  6. Do a grand reading for the family tonight, pop it on the bookshelf, and start planning volume two!
