My illustrated no-cook recipe

A real no-cook recipe with step-by-step pictures: fruit salad, funny face sandwiches. Your child runs the whole show from start to finish—getting ingredients out, measuring, chopping, mixing, plating—while you play the "silent assistant" who only steps in when asked. Then they proudly serve their creation to the whole family.

Step by step

  1. Pick the recipe together from 2 or 3 picture cards (fruit salad, funny face sandwiches).
  2. Stick the card at eye level, put ingredients within reach, and stand by as a "silent assistant" ready to help only if asked.
  3. Let your child describe each pictured step before getting started.
  4. Let them do it all from start to finish: grab ingredients, measure, cut, mix, and plate. Only step in if they ask, or for safety.
  5. Your child presents THEIR dish to the family for everyone to taste and enjoy.
  6. Cleaning is part of the recipe; slip the card into THEIR chef binder.
