Hand-to-Hand Toy Pass
A quick, playful game with two rattles: baby holds one, and you offer the second on the very same side. To grab the new toy, they need to swap the first one into their other hand. A few tries on each side, and you're done.

Step by step
- Pick two lightweight, high-contrast rattles that are easy to grip.
- Lay or sit baby down facing you during a calm moment.
- Hand them the first rattle and let them get a good hold on it.
- Offer the second rattle on the same side as the busy hand, then wait without rushing them. If they just drop the first one, no big deal: try again another day, the swap will click soon.
- When they pass the rattle from one hand to the other to grab the new one, celebrate with a big smile.
- Repeat 3 or 4 times, switching sides, then let them play freely with both.
