Step by step
- Print and cut out the three card sets (characters, places, objects), then stack them into three face-down piles.
- Start with an opening line ("Once upon a time..."), or grab a cozy storytelling cushion or candle if you like.
- Have your child draw one card from each pile and reveal them one by one.
- Kick off the story by weaving in the first card.
- Hand over to your child. If they get stuck, prompt them gently ("And then what does the pirate find?") without taking over the tale.
- Wrap up the ending together, then ask to hear their favorite story again another day—or record it so you can listen back.
