Sink or Float: Guess and Test
A tub of water, a handful of everyday objects, and one question for each: will it sink or float? For every item, it's a two-step game—guess first, splash second—with a simple two-column sheet to track predictions, results, and surprises (the big apple floats!).

Step by step
- Fill a tub with water, put a towel underneath, and line up 8 to 10 varied objects (cork, spoon, apple, coin, small toy).
- "first we guess, then we test." If they try to dunk everything at once, gently smile and say: "hold on, make your bet first!"
- For each item, your child calls out "sink" or "float" and places it on that side of the sheet.
- Drop the object in, watch closely what happens, and move it to the column showing the real result.
- At the end, compare the guesses with the results and look closely at the surprises (the big apple floats, the tiny coin sinks!).
- Ask "why do you think that happened?" and welcome every idea without rushing to give THE answer; test again right away if they have a new theory.
