Step by step
- Fill small sturdy bottles with rice, bells, or colored water and glitter, then GLUE the caps shut.
- Give them a good hard shake yourself to check they are leak-proof and solid before handing them over.
- Place two contrasting bottles (one loud, one quiet) in front of your seated baby.
- Shake one, then the other, using exaggerated facial expressions.
- Let baby shake, flip, roll, and watch the swirling glitter drift down.
- Play with contrasts using simple words ("Loud! Gentle..."), then stand the bottles upright in a basket to tidy up.
